The first stop on this tour is Pompei - where a local archaeologist/art historian will take you on a 2 hour tour through the ruins. You will be taken to the highlights of the preserved ancient city such as the markets, baths and homes, and learn about daily life before Vesuvius erupted.
You will then head to the Amalfi Coast, stopping along the way at spectacular viewpoints for fabulous photo opportunities.
You will visit the towns of Positano and Amalfi, with plenty of free time in both towns. Your guide will give you information on the area and make recommendations on places to see in each town.
After a day of both ruins and beauty (such an Italian experience), you will make your way back to Rome and be dropped at your hotel.
