Those hotel has a lovely ambiance and is one of our favourite. The views from the dining room and terraces are spectacular over Florence. The staff are exceptional and very pleasant. The location is excellent in one of the main streets of Florence near the Arno.

The top floors of this ancient fortified palazzo, in the very center of Florence, has been converted into a luxurious and stunning hotel. An elevator takes guests up to the top-floor sitting/bar area and breakfast room where large windows allow heart-stopping full 360-degree views over Florence’s terracotta tiled roofs, major monuments, Arno river, and distant hillside backdrop.
Take a closer look by stepping out on the large rooftop terrace complete with turrets to have an eye-level peek at Brunelleschi’s grand cupola. On the two floors below you find 12 extra-spacious bedrooms with many amenities, each featuring more unique views or private terraces. The classically styled rooms have been well appointed in soft hues of gold or celestial blue, many with large open windows with views out to Florence.
The hotel was fully renovated in 2001, and all the rooms have marble bathrooms, some have private balconies or can be interconnecting suites. The reception is on the top floor and the first thing guests see as they exit the elevator is a stunning panorama across the roof tops of Florence to the hills of Fiesole, taking in almost all the important buildings.

Located in Gianfigliazzi XVth-century Palace, the "Library Room" is furnished with an ample library of antique rare books and volumes regarding Florence, which covers an entire wall of the room. The room has a large marble bathroom with bath and shower with "rain" system. The view from both windows is of Santa Trinita Square and of Feroni Palace. The room is 35 sqm., has a king size canopy bed (cannot be twin bedded), chaise longue, clear wooden floor and mirror wardrobe.

Renaissance Suite: 50 sqm., wood floor; This spacious suite with the Renaissance flair overlooks Via de 'Tornabuoni. Its walls are decorated with warm tones of red and gold, have a strong reference to the colors used in altarpieces by Giotto. The entrance,decorated with precious fabrics colored curtains, has a single bed placed in an alcove. The large, bright bedroom available with a double bed or two single beds, has finely hand-painted walls. The two marble bathrooms include two large sink, a bathtub and a glass-enclosed shower with rain shower.
1 Panoramic Suite
The enchanting terrace on the Arno river and the view of Ponte Vecchio make this room our prime attraction. It is furnished with a king size canopy bed, a classic styled canapè with wooden frame, parquet and walls papered with elegant fabrics. The large windows and the use of the private terrace will make your stay exclusive and relaxing at the same time. The room is 46 sqm., and has clear wooden floors.
All the rooms except the Library and the Panoramic Suite can have either twin beds or queen/king size bed.
